08/03/2021 – 5+ years ago the cleaning campaign was formed here in Malmesbury. Never did we think that it would be going this long and even now have many more volunteers getting involved litter pickings streets and main roads and personally to myself its all blown up so quickly during lockdown as many people have wanted to get involved it was only the other day when I was walking down the road and I saw this family litter picking and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing 🤩🤩. But I was very pleased to find out yesterday that Helping the Community of Malmesbury have been awarded the High Sheriff of Wiltshire award for services to the community of Malmesbury during the COVID 19 emergency. We will accept the award on the 22ND of March on behalf of all the volunteers who work so hard to keep this place clean.

Also my work has been picked up throughout the pandemic of the support website I created so not only accepting an award on behalf of HCM but one for myself and like I have always said I started that website back when this pandemic was onto starting off and didn’t think how big it would get and how many people would pick up on it!! I cannot thank everyone enough for the support.

We also cannot thank Mayor Campbell Ritchie enough as nominations have been sought from town mayors right across Wiltshire.

We both look forward to the awards ceremony on the 22ND March at 17:30PM and we will share the zoom link for you to join whenever we get sent it ourselves.
